World famous hotel- Café Royal has undergone a major makeover at the hands of David Chipperfield Architects. Now the hotel features 159 rooms, an array of dining venues, a private members club, high tech meeting rooms, a wellbeing spa and a gym with a 18 metre luxury swimming pool.

Component Developments had an array of products specified throughout the completion of this project. With a long history of producing quality building products, Component Developments were able to guide both the specifiers and the on-site contractors to achieve all project requirements.

26 stainless steel 5200 gully pots were installed throughout various kitchens and wet areas, many of these included removable waste baskets, odour traps and rodding ports where necessary. A further 20 stainless steel 3010 drainage channels were installed into the main kitchen, the members kitchen, holding area, stores and laundry. Each channel was individually measured, and customised to meet floor finishes and necessary gratings.

Also installed were various stainless steel recessed manhole covers. To make access to the larger manhole covers, Component Developments fitted two covers into a single frame. All framers were 305 grade materials, double sealed and complete with double locking and lifting keys.

As well as supplying drainage solutions, towards the end stages of the project Component Developments were also able to supply buffer rails, skirting and corner guards.
