The Component Developments 5000 series of gullies are designed to be used as individual drainage
points or in conjunction with the 3000, 3600 and 6000 series drainage channel systems.
Their design dispenses with the need for additional rodding points and provides the specifier with
a rugged, durable, hygienic product which can meet almost any performance and design requirement.
The gullies provide easy access for cleaning and inspection and therefore suitable for use in
many applications including kitchens, bakeries, abattoirs, dairies and food processing plants.
Gullies are height adjustable for ease of installation and incorporate removable gratings,
odour traps, rodding ports and waste baskets, allowing full bore access.
Additional standard fittings to compliment site and clients requirements include D.P.M
clamping flanges, back inlet pipes, tundishes and sealed cover plates.

The specification depends on the function of the gully, for example, floor wash-down, direct discharge from equipment, rodding point or associated use with drainage channels.
When deciding upon the required gully, simply make the four choices detailed below.

Gully type – dependant upon capacity, (however, basket size can become the overriding factor when selecting a gully, or, head of water when considering deluge drainage).
The standard range has 3 sizes of gully body:
- 5150 - 1.8 l/s - Light duty.
- 5200 - 3.0 l/s - Medium duty.
- 5300 - 6.0 l/s - Heavy duty.
The 5400 series is available for capacities exceeding 6.0 l/s.
Outlet direction – side or vertical.
Outlet diameter – All outlet spigots are compatible to uPVC pipes sizes to BS 4660, IE, 82, 110, 160. Standard couplings and adapters are therefore readily available within the industry to connect to clay and cast iron drainage.
The edge profile will depend on the floor finish, for exxample, tile, resin, or vinyl. See grating seatings.
A seating is not required when using a trapped gully with a channel.
Gratings should be selected for their wash down requirements, free drainage area, and loading capacities (see 4000 series gratings)
See stainless steel information.
