HMP Littlehey, Perry Cambridgeshire is a category C Prison for adult male - replacing Gaynes Hall Youth Custody Centre in 1988. There has been considerable investment within the facility to allow for the addition of new accommodation, an all weather sports pitch, adult learning facility and kitchen buildings.
Working with GTEK Limited and EMCOR Engineering, Component Developments supplied stainless steel drainage products for the kitchen area – including numerous trapped gully outlets. For wash down areas our type 5200 gully was supplied – for areas that required a higher flow rate capacity – our type 5300 gully was used.
Due to the environment in which the items are used – a locking mechanism for the gratings was supplied, ensuring that they can only be removed with a specialised key.
