The Waltham Abbey Pool caters for everybody in the community, with plenty of fun sessions and after school kidsklubs, children are able to find their confidence in the water. For those that would prefer a quieter swim, late night and early morning sessions are ideal, and if you would like to improve your abilities, there are various water sport classes to attend including scuba diving, water aerobics, and National Lifeguard courses. There are also plenty of other facilities on offer, including a sauna, steam room, and the latest SHAPES fitness facility.
Component Developments supplied the complex with stainless steel manhole covers, drainage channels and trapped outlet gullies. The drainage channels and gullies supplied were from our modular 6000 and 5000 range respectively, with perforated gratings. The 4003 series gratings are suitable for barefoot traffic and therefore ideal for shower areas and poolside drainage. To accompany the gratings, the drainage channels and gullies are given a ‘dutch-bent’ profile, which folds the top of the gratings seating over on itself, forming a smooth top edge, and protecting uncovered feet.
The 5000 series trapped gullies allow for flow rates from 1.8 to 15 litres per second. All of our gully bodies are rounded to aid cleaning and prevent bacteria from settling into corners.
